The Notch 8 Year features distinct yet subtle berry/vinous quality while maintaining The Notch’s signature herbal  nose

The Notch 12 Year features notes of peach sorbet and aromatic toffee apples on the nose and a  vivacious, bright palate with a nice edge of wood tannins, vanilla, and orchard fruits. Great length, and with water, it opens and intensifies even more. 

The Notch 15 Year features appealing rich sherry cask aromas elegantly echoed on the palate to reveal  an abundance of rounded, stewed, and dried fruit. Engagingly robust with upfront dark  chocolate and vanilla balanced with drizzled honey, coconut and spicy highlights.

Triple Eight Distillery not only makes bourbon on Nantucket, but we also buy bourbon from distilleries in other states like Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Missouri. Those bourbon whiskies all have mash bills different than the bourbon distilled on island. We bring the whisky distilled elsewhere to Nantucket so it can mature in the barrel on the island.

For the Hurricane Rum we never use rum younger than 4 years old. Typically, we blend barrels that range from 4 years old to 12 years old. Every time we produce a batch of our rum we use an average of ten barrels. We will taste a range of barrels and then select ten or more per batch.

Named after the winds preceding storm conditions, a gale is signaled by two red pennants in the coastal warning display program, which is illustrated on the Gale Force Gin label. All gin uses juniper as its main ingredient. Triple Eight Distillery uses nine botanicals in their gin. Juniper is the prominent scent and taste, but quickly gives way to citrus overtones.
